Angel of Peace

The monument of the Angel of Peace was designed by a man named Jacob Mohl and was created in 1896. The monument was not shown until three years later. It was made north of the riverbank of Isar. The structure is about 25 meters which is equivalent to 82 feet.The figure used was the Goddess Nike who is the goddess of victory. The statue was created in order to celebrate 25 years of Peace after the Franco-Prussian War which resulted in a victory for the German Troops. Not many famous people have been located at this site but it is known for its famous artwork of the fights that had happened in Germany.

O2 World: Savannah I.

O2 World is an arena in Hamburg, Germany, among the most modern arenas in Europe. It was opened on November 8, 2002 and can hold up to 16,000 people. From 2002-2010, it was called the "Color Line Arena," and is primarily used for hockey and handball. It is currently owned by the Anschutz Entertainment Group and is said to have an elevation of 33 meters.

New Town Hall

1867-1874 is the time that George von Hauberrisser spent to create the New Town Hall. It used for the mayor in order for him to be able to work in an office. It was also used as the headquarters for the city of administration. The building is about 90 meters long which is equivalent to about 300 feet. It contains wonderful stain glass windows and is very spacious. A cool fact about the New Town Hall is that you are able to see an reenactment of the wedding of Duke William V and Renata of Lorraine at the Glockenspiel. Everyday at certain times, life size figures reenact important scenes that have happened in Germany.

Olympia Park

Olympia Park History

It was built around 1925, and was used as the airport of Munich for people of the Bayern Army. It was then used during the time of World War II which created it's "hilly" definition on the park. It was built by Gunther Behmisch, Frei Otto and other partners. Olympia Park was built in order for people to be able to play for the Olympics in Germany. The stadium part of Olympiapark is about . The Olympiaturm is about 197 feet. You can go about 189 to 192 feet high in the elevator of the Olympiaturm. It also contains a restaurant inside so you may enjoy the view of Munich while enjoying your food. Not many famous people or events are connected to this place, however, the area has been around during World War II which is an important event during Germany and America. Famous people were also not connected to this site as well because it was not used much during the time of the war. It was mainly used afterwards when the Olympics wanted to be played.

Hamburg Museum: Savannah I.

The Hamburg Museum was opened in 1922, designed by architect Fritz Schumacher. It was built to have relics from the Middle Ages and Modern Era as "a historical journey from the birth of Hamburg up until the present." The museum is 3 floors high and has over 1,000 pieces of art.
